I Think You’re Ready.
“I think you’re ready.”
A voice, clear as a sunny summer’s day. Warm as the sun against your skin on that sunny summer’s day, yet cool as an early morning spring breeze. Fluid as the river in the town next to the one you grew up in. Bright as the first smile of a newborn baby. Clean as the salt against your skin while floating in the ocean.
A statement like this is the kind that comes packed with understanding, propped up by the gift of discernment. Not necessarily due to its meaning, but due to its source. You know that you know, although you’re not 100% sure what this means. The “Where do we go from here?” only barely lingers at the back of your mind, subdued by a confidence poured down from heaven—rich as liquid gold, thick as amber.
This is it—your personal sign from God through me; simply speaking, someone who loves Him and is passionate about sharing the thoughts and expressions He places in my heart. I believe this will resonate across a wide span of seasons. You weren’t just ready then, you’re ready now, and you’ll be ready in the future too. Like a revolving door. As long as you’re here, you’re stepping through moments of divine preparedness and grace, over and over.
You may be thinking, “How could I possibly be ready? I’m still healing. I still feel uncertain, even weak at times.”
But that’s where God’s readiness differs from the world’s. His idea of “ready” has nothing to do with perfection, and everything to do with positioning.
God doesn’t wait until you feel fearless. He waits until you’re willing. When your heart is turned toward Him—even with trembling hands and a questioning mind—you are standing in a doorway that Heaven is ready to open.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9
How to Walk Like You’re Ready
Break agreement with lies.
Start identifying the thoughts that echo “I’m not enough,” “I’ll fail again,” or “God forgot about me.”
Write them down. Then, next to each one, write God’s truth.
“I’ll fail again.” → “The Lord upholds all who fall.” (Psalm 145:14)
“I’m not ready.” → “He who began a good work in you will carry it to completion.” (Philippians 1:6)
Look at your current resources with new eyes.
Maybe you don’t have the full picture, but you do have the next step. What’s in your hand right now? An idea? A connection? A window of peace? That’s enough to begin.
Practice trust-led action.
Faith without works is dead—but works don’t mean hustle. It can be a quiet yes. A phone call. A journal entry. A prayer of surrender. Do something that affirms your belief that God said what He said—and He meant it.
A Prayer of Surrender
“God, if You say I’m ready, then I choose to believe You.
Even if I’m shaking, I’ll step forward.
Not because I feel ready, but because You know me better than I know myself.
Help me see through Your eyes.
Silence every lie I’ve agreed with.
Let this be the season I walk by faith, not by fear.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
